Captured and shipped to the imperial capital as a trophy, he commits the one taboo that keeps him alive, and becomes history's first vampire. Years later he comes home to a continent torn apart by proxy wars.

The Realm of the Gods
Primordial deities who keep strict neutrality, until cosmic law is broken.
Paradise
The middle sanctum of the Royal Lineage: abundance, sacred architecture and spiritual magic. Kagu once ruled here.
The Mortal Realm
Farmland, trading ports and tribal territories ruled by chieftains and noble dynasties, some of whom will sell him out.
The Brelgar Empire
An industrial superpower with a capital, Metropole, of cold spires and deep dungeons. It is where Kagu is changed.
The Northwest Alliance
A coalition fighting Brelgar for Alkebulan's resources, until their rivalry becomes a war fought on Alkebulan soil.
Look and feel: a 2D painterly and sculpted 3D hybrid, angular brushwork and faceted rendering, animated on twos, with heavy chiaroscuro and a misty gloom. Gritty, operatic and psychologically heavy.
